Overview
The Hingham Public Library seeks a friendly, welcoming, and energetic individual who is a team player and comfortable working with and learning new technologies. The position includes providing excellent customer service to library visitors of all ages and working in multiple departments including Children’s, Circulation, and Technology.
Responsibilities- Work at service desks; provide information and assistance to library patrons.
- Circulate library materials; process reports.
- Pack/unpack interlibrary deliveries; shelving.
- Other duties as assigned.
- High School diploma and two (2) years of related experience, preferably in a public library setting with an automated circulation system.
- Skills using technology are desired.
- Must be detail oriented, capable of multi-tasking, and willing to work as part of a team.
- Demonstrated customer service skills in a library or retail setting preferred.
Two evenings, rotating Saturdays and Sundays as scheduled; schedule is subject to change throughout the year.

Salary NotesPart-time: 12 hours per week (average). Grade L-6. Range $24.85 - $30.21/hour in five annual steps.
