Job DescriptionKids in Action - Program Nurse

Location: Foster Elementary School
Job Summary:
Kids In Action is the extended day program for the Elementary Schools in the Town of Hingham. This position will provide support during the school day at Foster Elementary School.
Responsibilities:
- Provide first aid and emergency care, administer medication and treatment, when necessary.
- Contact parents in the event of injury or illness.
- Receive rescue medications and Consent and Action Plans from parents.
- Write up injury reports as necessary and notify parents/caregivers.
- Maintain appropriate medical records.
- Collaborate with the Team Leader regarding students with allergies and/or asthma.
- Collaborate with Team Leaders to maintain first aid and medical supplies.
- Update Allergy Lists monthly.
- All other duties as requested by the Kids In Action Director.
Required Qualifications:
- Licensure to practice as a registered nurse in Massachusetts.
- Current CPR certification.
- Demonstrates strong oral and written communication skills.
- Experience in community health and student health.
- Ability to use a clinical approach to decision making and a systematic approach to problem solving.

- Full time, 1 year appointment, Hours are 9am - 4pm.
