Structural Engineer Specializing in Marine and Waterfront Design

Stantec is seeking a structural engineer specializing in marine and waterfront design to support our transportation practice in New England. The selected candidate must be able to manage and technically lead teams in the design and construction administration of complex waterfront projects for public and private sector clients throughout the region.

Your key responsibilities include performing structural marine and waterfront engineering assignments, overseeing engineering planning and design assignments, analyzing complex problems, and ensuring Stantec's engineering and design procedures are consistently applied on projects.

Your capabilities and credentials should include proven ability in staff supervision and leadership, strong collaboration and teamwork skills, and strong communication and presentation skills. A licensed professional engineer (PE) in one New England state with ability to obtain licensure in other states within six months of employment is required.

Education and experience requirements include a bachelor's degree in engineering from an accredited university and a minimum of five years of relevant structural marine and waterfront structures experience.

Primary location is Boston, MA, with other locations in Hingham, MA. This position is a new full-time role with estimated travel of 25% within the New England area.
