The Tax Analyst, Corporate Income Tax will be a key member of the Knit Well Corporate Tax team, focused on supporting federal, state, and local income tax compliance and planning. The analyst will interact with Knit Well and Brand personnel across the organization to perform the responsibilities listed below.
Responsibilities- Prepare corporate federal, state, and local income tax compliance, including quarterly estimated calculations, extensions, income and franchise tax returns, and drafting responses to tax notices and audits.
- Analyze state tax adjustments and apportionment, gathering data, processing, and preparing work papers.
- Support the tax accounting function in preparing ASC 740 tax provision calculations, including tax adjustments, reconciling tax accounts and cash tax payments, and recording tax journal entries.
- Participate in tax technology process improvements and automation initiatives and support routine maintenance of Alteryx workflows and other software in response to business changes.
- Maintain a tax notice log and respond to notices in a timely manner.
- Support tax planning and special project work as needed.
- Assist with various information reporting requirements.
- Apply standard professional principles to routine research assignments of limited complexity, monitoring and modeling implications of federal, state, and local tax developments impacting the company.
- Assist with the maintenance of the income tax calendar.
- Bachelor's degree in Accounting required.
- 1–3 years of public accounting or corporate tax experience preferred; recent internship in income tax also acceptable.
- Basic analytical, tax technical, and research skills required.
- Strong communication skills to effectively interact with multiple tax department offices and brand partners.
- Advanced Excel skills preferred; proficiency with MS Office (PowerPoint, Word, Outlook) mandatory.
- Experience with One Source Income Tax, Oracle, and SAP preferred;
Alteryx experience is a plus.

- Competitive salary range of $60,000 – 75,000, based on qualifications and experience.
Talbots office, Hingham, MA 02043. The position is located on-site at least four days per week.
