• 3–5+ years of hands‑on fine gardening or horticulture experience
• Strong plant knowledge — ornamentals, shrubs, and trees common to New England
• Confident hand pruning skills with solid understanding of technique and timing
• Proven experience leading a small team — able to delegate, teach, and keep a crew focused
• A compassionate, organized, detail‑oriented presence who leads by example
• Clear communicator; comfortable with basic documentation
• Valid driver's license required; truck and trailer experience preferred

Gardening Responsibilities Deadheading, weeding, and bed maintenance; skilled hand pruning of shrubs and trees; applying fertilizers and soil amendments; planting and maintaining seasonal containers; install new plantings, transplants, and perennial divisions; monitoring plants for stress, disease, or pest pressure.

Lead Responsibilities Organizing and delegating daily tasks to ensure efficient, quality work across properties; keeping the team on schedule; supporting and training team members; driving the company truck and trailer; overseeing tool and equipment care; maintaining clear communication with ownership; completing job documentation and CRM tools.

Work week schedule is Monday through Thursday schedule, 7:30am to 3:30-4:30 pm, with Fridays available as an optional rain day. Our season runs April – November/December. Compensation is $22–$26/hr, based on your experience and skillset.
