Job Summary:

The Hingham Public School system is seeking a Van Driver to safely transport students to and from school daily.

Qualifications:

• Must have a clean driving record
• Maintain or be able to maintain a 7D License, required. Training available, if needed.

Responsibilities:

• Driving students to and from home/school.
• Observing all established work practices in accordance with school policies.
• Complying with all motor vehicle laws of the Commonwealth of Massachusetts, Registry of Motor Vehicles, Department of Elementary and Secondary Education, School Committee, and local authorities.
• Ensure safety of students during transportation, including loading, unloading, and maintaining safe driving environment.
• Reporting of all observed student injuries, accidents, illnesses and discipline problems to your supervisor in a timely manner.
• Maintain order among students, enforcing policies, and communicating with students, and school staff.
• Performing daily pre-trip and post-trip safety inspections of vehicles.
• Maintaining a clean vehicle at all times.
