Bus Driver

Job Summary

The Hingham Public School system is seeking a Bus Driver to safely transport students to and from school. This is a permanent, benefit-eligible position.

• Must have a clean driving record.
• Must maintain or be able to obtain a CDL license. Training is available if needed.

• Driving students to and from school.
• Observing all established work practices in accordance with school policies.
• Complying with all motor vehicle laws of the Commonwealth of Massachusetts, the Registry of Motor Vehicles, the Department of Elementary and Secondary Education, the School Committee, and local authorities.
• Reporting all observed student injuries, accidents, illnesses, and discipline problems to the supervisor in a timely manner.
• Performing daily pre-trip and post-trip safety inspections of vehicles.
• Maintaining a clean vehicle at all times.
• Cooperating with the bus monitor on behavioral issues.
