Job Title:

Certified Medical Assistant

Position Overview

We are seeking a dedicated and efficient Certified Medical Assistant (CMA) to join our healthcare team. This role is crucial in providing support to medical staff and ensuring excellence in patient care. The ideal candidate will possess strong clinical skills, excellent communication abilities, and a patient‑centric attitude.

We have locations in Hinsdale, Downers Grove and Plainfield IL.

Key Responsibilities
  • Assist healthcare providers with patient examinations and procedures.
  • Obtain and document patient vital signs, medical history, and reason for visit.
  • Administer medications and vaccinations as directed by a physician.
  • Prepare and maintain examination rooms, ensuring they are clean and sufficiently stocked.
  • Update and manage patient records in electronic health systems accurately.
  • Provide patient education on medications, treatment plans, and wellness strategies.
  • Facilitate effective communication between patients and healthcare providers.
  • Perform basic laboratory tests on‑site and handle specimens as necessary.
  • Schedule patient appointments and manage follow‑up care.
  • Adhere to all clinical and safety protocols, maintaining confidentiality and patient privacy.
Qualifications
  • Certification as a Medical Assistant from an accredited program.
  • Current CMA credential.
  • Ability to schedule, handle phone calls and faxes, referral etc.
  • Proficiency in using electronic health records (EHR) systems including ability to input notes.
  • Strong organizational skills and attention to detail.
  • Ability to work in a fast‑paced environment and manage multiple tasks.
  • Excellent interpersonal and communication skills.
  • A compassionate and patient‑focused approach to healthcare delivery.
  • Experience in a clinical setting is required.
  • Bilingual candidate is a plus.
