What you will be doing:

Reporting to the Executive Chef, responsibilities and essential job functions include but are not limited to the following:

• Direct supervision of all stewarding employees, and supervisors as well as training, performance management, scheduling and assigning of daily duties andlong term projects
• Follow departmental policies, procedures,safetyand service standards
• Consistently offering professional,engaging and friendly service.
• Ensuring the highest degree of cleanliness and maintenance in accordance with Fairmont Hotels & Resorts standards,policies and procedures.
• Work closely with the outlet leaders tomaintainadequate levels of china, silver, and glass par stock levels
• Reports any damaged or not working equipment to maintenance or proper contractor and follows up
• Conduct periodic inventories to ensure par stocks and resource availability are maintained,determiningdegree of usage andidentifyingpurchase or equipment requirements.
• Play an active role in the recruitment,orientation and training of new employees

• Other duties as assigned

Your experience and skills include:

• 4 years proven leadership and supervisory skills in a Food and Beverage operation
• Thorough knowledge of a large Stewarding Department
• Must be computer strong with a knowledge of Excel, word, electronic mail
• Diploma or Degree in Hospitality Management a definite asset
• Must be results oriented,very organized, highlymotivatedand able to work under pressure
• Must be committed to and have a full understanding of the health and safety practices in the workplace
• Must be certified in WHMIS
