Senior Project Drafter

Metromont Corporation, a leader in precast concrete construction, seeks an experienced Senior Project Drafter to join our dynamic Engineering & Design team. In this role, you will be instrumental in developing detailed drawings and specifications for precast concrete structures, harnessing your expertise in design to drive projects from concept to completion. Working closely with engineers and project managers, the Senior Project Drafter ensures all designs meet technical standards and client expectations, while contributing to innovation in precast construction processes.

Responsibilities

• Develop detailed architectural and structural precast concrete drawings and models, including layouts, sections, and details.
• Coordinate with engineering teams to integrate structural and mechanical systems into design projects.
• Review and analyze specifications, sketches, drawings, ideas, and related data to assess factors affecting component designs.
• Lead drafting review meetings to discuss design concepts and to interpret client needs and requirements.
• Implement changes and modifications to existing drawings as necessary, based on feedback from project stakeholders.
• Ensure compliance with applicable codes, industry standards, and client requirements in all project deliverables.
• Mentor and guide junior drafters, helping to raise the overall expertise within the team.

Required Skills

• Proficient in Auto
• CAD, Revit, and other BIM software.
• Strong knowledge of construction techniques and precast concrete specifics.
• Ability to interpret and apply building codes and certifications relevant to precast concrete construction.
• Excellent communication and collaboration skills to effectively work with engineers and project managers.
• Skilled in visualizing concepts and translating them into comprehensive designs.
