Acute Care Physical Therapist

Role Overview: Provides comprehensive physical therapy services to improve patient mobility, reduce pain, and prevent deformities. Assesses, plans, and implements individualized treatment programs in collaboration with physicians, patients, and families. Ensures quality, cost-effective care compliant with regulatory standards.

Key Responsibilities:

• Patient Assessment: Develops and evaluates treatment plans, sets goals, and creates discharge strategies.
• Treatment Planning and Care: Implements therapy plans, selects appropriate activities, educates patients and families, and provides discharge instructions.
• Documentation: Records evaluations, treatment sessions, and family education accurately per protocols.
• Professional Conduct: Maintains confidentiality, punctuality, ethical practices, and effective communication. Participates in meetings and continuous education.
• Customer Service & Teamwork: Demonstrates respect, fosters collaboration, applies service recovery principles, and delivers positive patient experiences.

Qualifications and Skills:

• Bachelor’s, Master’s, or Doctorate in Physical Therapy.
• Licenses and certifications including Physical Therapist licensure and BLS certification.
• Effective communication, customer service focus, team orientation, and basic computer skills.
