Assistant Manager

Overview

As an Assistant Manager, you help with day-to-day restaurant operations and assist the general manager and owners. Training and working alongside your team, you will help manage food and labor costs.

You must have experience in management within the food industry, advanced management skills, ordering, inventory, labor, etc. Prefer previous Jimmy John’s management experience but not required. You must be able to pass all required assessments to maintain the position and become certified.

Assistant Managers help oversee in-store operations alongside the General Manager. The assistant manager plays a major role in ensuring the store is in exceptional order and that all employees are performing duties properly and efficiently. Assistant Managers must lead by example and execute systems and procedures with 100% integrity. As an Assistant Manager, your attitude needs to be enthusiastic, friendly, and positive.

This is a bonus‑eligible position that requires excellent availability.

• Ability to work a 40-50 hour week
• Day and night shifts required
• Must have open availability
• At least 18 years of age
• Basic understanding of Microsoft Word and Microsoft Excel
• Must be able to perform, teach, and train all aspects of Assistant Manager, PIC, InShopper, and Delivery Driver positions, as needed
• Ability to handle fast‑paced situations in the store
• Organize and establish priorities in the store with minimal supervision
• Willing to coach and task‑manage employees on store operations
• Willing to offer opinions and recommendations to the General Manager
• Must be able to lift 30-40 lbs. regularly throughout shifts
• Ability to stand, bend, and reach throughout shifts
