Position Summary

The Process Engineer is responsible for designing, implementing, and continuously improving manufacturing processes to maximize safety, quality, productivity, and operational efficiency. This role analyzes existing operations, identifies improvement opportunities, and develops sustainable solutions that optimize production processes while ensuring compliance with company standards, regulatory requirements, and industry best practices. In addition, the Process Engineer is responsible for the governance, integrity, and continuous optimization of SAP manufacturing master data and system configuration—including Bills of Materials (BOMs), routings, work centers, and production parameters—to support accurate production planning, standardized manufacturing processes, and operational excellence.

The position works cross-functionally with Engineering, Production, Supply Chain, and Quality to drive process standardization, data accuracy, and continuous improvement initiatives across the organization.

Responsibilities:
  • Analyze current production processes to identify bottlenecks, inefficiencies, and potential areas for improvement; develop and implement process changes to increase output and reduce costs.
  • Design new manufacturing processes, including equipment selection, flow diagrams, and control strategies, to ensure optimal production efficiency and quality.
  • Develop, maintain, and continuously improve SAP manufacturing master data, including Bills of Materials (BOMs), routings, work centers, production versions, and manufacturing parameters.
  • Support SAP system setup for new products, production processes, and engineering changes to ensure accurate production planning and execution.
  • Validate SAP master data integrity through regular audits and coordinate corrections with Engineering, Production, Planning, and Supply Chain.
  • Drive standardization of SAP manufacturing processes and support continuous improvement initiatives related to system accuracy, automation, and data governance.
  • Participate in SAP implementation, enhancement, testing, and process improvement projects to optimize manufacturing performance.
  • Collect and analyze production data to identify trends, diagnose problems, and inform process improvements.
Qualifications:
  • 5+ years of experience as a process engineer in an automotive environment.
  • Strong knowledge of process optimization techniques, lean manufacturing principles, Six Sigma methodologies, and statistical analysis.
  • Strong knowledge of SAP ERP manufacturing modules (PP, MM, and related production processes).
  • Experience with SAP system configuration and manufacturing master data setup, including BOMs, routings, work centers, production versions, and engineering change management.
  • Understanding of SAP data governance, master data validation, and process standardization.
  • Experience supporting ERP implementation, process optimization, and continuous improvement within SAP manufacturing environments.
  • Ability to analyze SAP production data and translate findings into process improvements and operational efficiencies.
  • Effective communication and interpersonal skills to collaborate with cross-functional teams and stakeholders.
  • Strong project management skills with the ability to prioritize tasks and meet deadlines.
  • Must be a US Citizen
