Part-time 7p-7a shift on a 28-bed post-surgical unit. Magnet designated (with distinction) Paulding campus. Sign-on bonus eligible. New graduate RN (up to 6 months) positions available through RN Residency program.

• Exemplary Practice and Outcomes
  • Perform the Nursing Process (assessment, diagnosis, identification of outcomes, planning, implementation, and evaluation) using evidence-based practice and critical thinking to provide individualized care and coordinate care through effective partnerships.
  • Provide relationship-based patient-centered care consistent with population-specific characteristics and adapt service delivery to reflect cultural diversity.
  • Partner with patients and significant others to set goals and focus the plan of care through bedside shift reports, interdisciplinary rounds, and timely patient teaching.
  • Practice in accordance with current clinical practice standards.
• Teamwork and Collaboration
  • Coordinate delivery and documentation of safe, quality patient care and promote the professional care delivery model.
  • Facilitate diverse and inclusive interdisciplinary communication, complete timely documentation, and promote a respectful, inclusive clinical environment.
  • Support financial responsibility and participate in recruiting and retaining healthcare team members.
  • Engage in performance improvement, research utilization, and shared governance at all system levels.
• Professional Development and Initiative
  • Complete all initial and ongoing professional competency assessments and required education.
  • Serve as a preceptor and/or mentor for other professional nurses and staff or students to ensure a qualified future workforce and model professional nursing practice.
• Evidence-Based Practice and Research
  • Promote evidence-based practice, nursing research, and performance improvement.
  • Adhere to all system policies, procedures, and clinical competencies, including TJC Patient Safety Goals and Wellstar Health Systems safety absolutes.
  • Participate in data collection, pose relevant clinical questions, consult experts, and use evidence to address practice questions.
• Resources and Support
  • Proactively plan care across the care continuum.
  • Participate in developing protocols and procedures when needed or through self-initiation to achieve best practice outcomes.
  • Support efficient use of human and material resources.

• Associate's degree in Nursing or Nursing Diploma (preferred) or Bachelor’s degree in Nursing.

• RN – Reg Nurse (Single State) or RN‑COMPACT (Multi‑state Compact).
• BLS – Basic Life Support (or ARC‑BLS | BLS‑I).

Minimum 2 years of direct patient‑care nursing experience.

• Proficiency in reading, writing, and speaking English.
• Basic computer skills and ability to optimize technology for clinical care.
• Strong interpersonal, collaborative, and customer‑service skills.
• Ability to function in a fast‑paced environment and respond to emergencies with composure.
• Excellent time‑management and evidence‑based nursing practice.
• Strong critical‑thinking skills.
