Warehouse Storeroom Attendant

Position Description

Ryder is hiring a Storeroom Attendant / Forklift Operator in Hiram, Georgia — offering weekly pay, excellent benefits, and a career you can feel good about.

• Hourly Pay: $17.39 per hour
• Schedule:
  
  First Shift Monday to Friday, 7:00 AM – 3:30 PM

• High school diploma or equivalent (preferred)
• One (1) year or more related warehouse and/or powered industrial truck experience (preferred)
• Valid Forklift Operator's License (certified)
• Strong technical aptitude: using Microsoft Outlook, Word, Excel, scanners, entering orders into a WMS System
• Must be able to lift up to 50 lbs unassisted and up to 35 lbs for push/pull
• Must be able to stand for long periods of time
• Must be able to work both indoors and outdoors
• Must be available to work on a flexible schedule on the various shifts
• Strong verbal and written communication skills
• Ability to work independently and as a member of a team
• Highly thorough, dependable, punctual, and have a good attendance record
• Demonstrates a high level of accuracy, even under pressure
• Ability to create and maintain professional relationships within all levels of the organization
• Works using health and safety methods
• Possesses a high degree of initiative
• Detail oriented with excellent follow‑up practices

• Perform warehouse functions including loading, picking, packing, shipping, receiving, forklift operation, and cycle counting
• Responsible for accurate picking and packing, auditing, tote induction, staging of products, and loading and unloading trucks
• Handle day‑to‑day paperwork such as picking sheets, returns, bills of lading, etc.
• Perform duties within performance measurement guidelines of the contract
• Provide technical and maintenance support for automated packing systems during core shift hour of production
• Perform other duties as assigned
