We are seeking a hands-on Operations Manager to lead day-to-day fulfillment center operations at a rapidly growing food and wellness company. This leader will be responsible for driving operational excellence, developing frontline leadership teams, improving productivity, enhancing customer order accuracy, and creating a culture centered on safety, accountability, and continuous improvement. The position is based onsite in Hiram, Georgia and supports a high-volume, technology-enabled fulfillment operation.
This role is ideal for a proven warehouse, distribution, manufacturing, or fulfillment leader who thrives in fast-paced environments and enjoys building high-performing teams while scaling operational processes.
Schedule:- Thursday through Monday: 6:00 AM - 6:00 PM
- Lead daily fulfillment center activities, ensuring productivity, quality, and customer service expectations are consistently achieved.
- Drive execution across receiving, inventory management, order fulfillment, packing, shipping, and labor planning functions.
- Monitor operational performance metrics and implement corrective actions to improve throughput, efficiency, and service levels.
- Partner with Supply Chain, Transportation, HR, Food Safety, and Inventory teams to ensure operational alignment.
- Directly manage and mentor supervisors and frontline leaders.
- Build engagement and accountability across all levels of the operation.
- Foster a culture focused on employee development, performance coaching, and continuous learning.
- Ensure leaders are equipped to effectively manage staffing, productivity, attendance, and performance expectations.
- Identify opportunities to improve workflows, eliminate waste, and increase operational efficiency.
- Lead Lean, Kaizen, 5S, and process-improvement initiatives.
- Utilize data and root-cause analysis to resolve operational issues and improve customer outcomes.
- Standardize best practices across departments while supporting future growth initiatives.
- Own key operational metrics including productivity, labor utilization, quality, inventory accuracy, safety, and customer fulfillment performance.
- Analyze operational and financial data to identify opportunities to improve profitability and operational effectiveness.
- Participate in workforce planning, forecasting, and budget management activities.
- Champion safety as a non-negotiable priority.
- Maintain compliance with company policies, operational procedures, and food safety standards.
- Ensure a clean, organized, and audit-ready work environment.
- Bachelor's degree in Operations, Supply Chain, Logistics, Business, Engineering, or related discipline.
- 3+ years of progressive operations leadership experience within a distribution center, fulfillment, warehouse, e-commerce, manufacturing, or high-volume production environment.
- Experience leading teams through periods of growth, change, or operational transformation.
- Strong background managing employee performance, operational KPIs, and workforce productivity.
- Working knowledge of inventory control processes and warehouse management systems.
- Advanced proficiency in Excel, Google Sheets, and operational reporting tools.
- Experience working in highly automated or technology-driven fulfillment environments.
- Food, beverage, grocery, cold-chain, or consumer products distribution experience.
- Experience supporting a startup, newly launched, or rapidly scaling facility.
- Exposure to Net Suite or comparable warehouse management platforms.
- Formal Lean Manufacturing, Six Sigma, Kaizen, or Continuous Improvement expertise.
The ideal candidate is a visible, floor-focused leader rather than a desk-based manager. They are comfortable spending the majority of their day in the operation, coaching supervisors, solving problems in real time, and driving accountability throughout the building.
