Used Car Technician

We are seeking a Used Car Technician to inspect, diagnose, and repair a variety of vehicles in our used car service department. This role involves preventive maintenance, reconditioning, and both minor and major repairs to ensure vehicles meet our quality standards. The ideal candidate is detail-oriented, safety-conscious, and eager to work collaboratively while maintaining efficiency and high-quality workmanship.

• Perform inspections, diagnostics, maintenance, and repairs on used vehicles efficiently and accurately.
• Test drive vehicles and inspect systems including engine, transmission, brakes, suspension, electrical, steering, air conditioning, and more.
• Use diagnostic tools, power tools, and hand tools to perform repairs and replacements.
• Communicate directly with Service Advisors to report additional repair needs and provide accurate time estimates.
• Perform reconditioning, preventive maintenance, and minor to major repairs to keep inventory in top condition.
• Maintain detailed and accurate records of all work performed.
• Stay current on new vehicle technology, repair techniques, and OEM service specifications.
• Collaborate with team members to ensure a smooth workflow and high customer satisfaction.
• Follow all safety, environmental, and dealership procedures.

• Proven experience as an automotive technician, preferably in a used car environment.
• Strong diagnostic and repair skills across multiple automotive systems.
• Ability to work independently and as part of a team.
• ASE certifications and/or technical school training preferred, but not required.
• Valid driver’s license and clean driving record.
• Excellent communication, problem-solving, and organizational skills.
• Willingness to learn new technologies and repair procedures.
