Seeking an Instructional Aide at the Early Learning Center at George Earle. Position available immediately.
QualificationsApplicant must have an Associate's Degree and/or have passed the Praxis Para Pro.
Knowledge,Skills and Abilities
- Ability to carry out instructions furnished in written or oral form.
- Ability to analyze student data and progress monitor.
- Ability to add, subtract, multiply and divide, and perform arithmetic operations as needed to assist students.
- Ability to understand, apply and use personal computers and software applications (e.g., Word, Excel).
- Ability to work with a diverse group of individuals.
- Ability to maintain confidentiality of information regarding students, employees and others.
- Ability to establish a supportive and compassionate relationship with students with special needs.
- Ability to establish and maintain cooperative working relationships with students, staff and others contacted in the course of work.
- Ability to report work orally or in writing to supervisor as required.
- Effective writing and verbal communication skills.
- Learn and grow professionally to enhance the educational program.
- Works in standard office and school building environments.
While performing the duties of this job, the employee is regularly required to stand, walk, sit, talk, and hear (in quiet and loud environments from a whisper to a yell). This job requires the ability to handle and balance multiple demands at the same time. The employee is occasionally required to reach with hands and arms and stoop, kneel, crouch, or crawl.
The employee must occasionally lift and/or move up to 20 pounds. Specific vision abilities required by this job include close vision, distance vision, and the ability to adjust focus.
