The Production Control Lead manages work flow through multiple departments based on the master production plan and detailed material planning requirements. Creates production schedules and prioritizes work for multiple departments. Leads the work of a team of production schedulers.

Ideal Candidate:

  • Legally authorized to work in the United States without requiring Sponsorship
  • Must be available to work on-site daily in Hobart, Indiana
  • Must be available to work 2nd shift hours 3:00pm-11:30pm (Some Saturdays will be required as well)
  • Demonstrated proficiency in Microsoft Excel, including advanced functions, formulas, and data analysis tools.
  • Proven ability to work independently with minimal supervision while maintaining high-quality output.
  • Collaborative team player who thrives in a fast-paced, dynamic environment.
  • Strong attention to detail, problem-solving, and analytical skills.
  • Excellent communication skills for cross-functional collaboration and reporting.

Pay Rate: $24.00-$28.00/hour

Responsibilities

Responsibilities include but are not limited to:

  • Develops effective work schedules by prioritizing and issuing production work order documentation, monitoring production completion, and reporting schedule attainment
  • Leads a team of production schedulers by planning, assigning, and reviewing work
  • Works with production manager s to ensure work flow across multiple work centers and skill disciplines
  • Monitors cancellations and changes in assembly part numbers and work orders in assigned work centers; reviews and performs corrections as required
  • Supports production managers with production control issues such as non-conformance and material shortages
  • Point of contact for changing production schedules, expediting orders and issuing repair work orders
  • Assists with metrics collection and reporting, including schedule attainment, delivery, and department capacity
  • Assists with training new Production Control employees
  • Takes part in internal and external training in planning and business techniques
Qualifications

Education and Experience Requirements:

  • Bachelor’s Degree or equivalent experience
  • Minimum of 7 years of manufacturing experience
  • Minimum of 5 years of production planning or project scheduling experience

Knowledge,

Skills and Abilities

Requirements:

  • Knowledge of MRP systems and experience with advance user functionality
  • Strong computer skills including MS Office
  • Good verbal and written communication skills
  • Strong organizational skills
  • Ability to multi-task while maintaining attention to detail and deadlines
  • Team-oriented and collaborative
  • Self-motivated
  • Ability to read, write, speak, and understand the English language
