1st Shift Powder Coat Material Handler

Overview

Daifuku is a leading U.S.

-based provider of intelligent material handling systems. This full‑time position is located on the 1st shift (Monday – Friday, 5:00 AM – 1:30 PM) and offers a comprehensive benefits package.

The Material Handler will perform receiving tasks, including receiving and unloading items, verifying shipment condition, and keeping computer records.

• Move, load, and unload materials by hand or using a variety of equipment, including tow motors and forklifts.
• Count, weigh, sort, pack, and unpack materials.
• Load and unload materials onto and off trucks and loading docks.
• Operate industrial trucks, tractors, loaders, forklifts, and other equipment to transport materials to and from vehicles and storage areas.
• Connect hoses or pipes and operate equipment for loading and unloading chemicals.
• Dump materials such as scrap metal or remove materials from forklifts.
• Operate floor sweeper and washer.
• Open containers and crates, fill orders, assist with inventory, weighing, and checking materials.
• Comply with Daifuku’s QMS policies and procedures to ensure sustainable process outputs and continuous improvement.

• Areas are often noisy and lack climate control.
• Work around moving machinery and in low‑light areas.
• Exposure to safety hazards such as moving parts, electricity, falls, and trips.
• Physical demands include lifting, pulling, walking, carrying, pushing, kneeling, standing, sitting, reaching, squatting, climbing, twisting, speaking, hearing, sight, and finger dexterity.
• Must observe safety and security policies, practice Lock‑Out/Tag‑Out, and wear required personal protective equipment.

• High School Diploma or equivalent (preferred).
• Minimum 1 year of related experience (preferred).
• Good communication skills, attention to detail, and organization.
• Ability to work with people regardless of race, gender, religion, ancestry, national origin, sex, sexual orientation, age, disability, marital status, veteran status, medical condition, or job type.
• Ability to work under pressure with time constraints.
• Ability to complete assigned training in a timely manner.
• Proficiency in reading, writing, speaking, and understanding English.

• Medium work:
  Exert up to 50 lb force occasionally, 20 lb frequently, or 10 lb constantly.
• Climbing:
  Use feet, legs, and/or hands on ladders, stairs, scaffolding, ramps, or poles.
• Stooping, kneeling, crouching, reaching, standing, walking, pushing, pulling, lifting, fingering, grasping, talking, hearing, and visual tasks as described in detail.

• Work inside and outside, protected from weather but not from temperature changes.
• Exposure to hazards such as moving mechanical parts, vehicles, and electricity.

USD $18.00 – $23.00 per hour.
