Direct Support Professional; DSP​/Caregiver

We serve people with intellectual or developmental disabilities and other complex medical needs across the United States.

We are looking for a Direct Support Professional (DSP) caregiver to provide direct support, positive direction, instruction, and assistance to individuals with mental, intellectual & developmental, and physical disabilities. The ultimate goal is to empower individuals with disabilities to live as independently and comfortably as possible while maintaining their dignity and respect.

Schedule:

Multiple shifts available in Gary, Merrillville, Valparaiso, Hobart & Michigan City! Pay: $15/hr - $16.75.

• Provide hands‑on assistance, encouragement, mentoring, and guidance.
• Ensure the comfort, safety, and personal growth of the individuals we serve.
• Perform housekeeping and laundry duties.
• Assist with daily living tasks such as moving around, getting in and out of bed, dressing, bathing, toileting, personal hygiene, and more.

• 18 years or older
• Valid driver's license required (due to transporting persons served)
• Comfortable driving to transport persons served as required.
  • Some positions/locations may require your own personal vehicle and auto liability insurance based on the role
• Good communication skills – reading, writing, and documenting care, following support plans, and collaborating with internal and external team members.
• A successful background clearance is required as part of the onboarding/employment process.
