Job Summary:

# Under the clinical direction of the Provider, performs patient care services, diagnostic procedures, etc.# Assists the Provider with patient visits and procedures in the medical office or clinic setting.# In addition, may be required to perform front desk duties, which may include telephone work, patient scheduling, etc.# If applicable, phlebotomy responsibilities including the collection and processing of specimens such as blood, urine, pap smears, cultures, etc.#

# # Education/ Experience Requirements: # - Licensed Practical Nurse must currently be licensed to practice in the State of Indiana
- Current active CPR certification is required
- Minimum of 2 years of current clinical experience in order to acquire a thorough knowledge of scientific principles of nursing and professional nursing standards, and develop skill in nursing techniques and the ability to adapt techniques to individual patient needs
- Demonstrates the knowledge and skill necessary to provide care for all age groups and their family members
- Must demonstrate ability in taking patient vitals, injections/immunizations, charting and documentation, infectious waste handling, sterile technique and routine lab procedures including collection
- Excellent attitude, interpersonal skills and communication abilities necessary to interact with patients, Providers and other hospital associates
- Organizational skills with focus on tracking patient care and improving patient flow
- Ability to multitask efficiently and effectively
- Must be able to act calmly and effectively in a busy or stressful situation
- Completes annual skill validation as well as safety and infection control procedures # # #
