Job Summary
Ensures that maintenance parts and personal protective equipment (PPE) inventories are secure, properly identified, and readily accessible to authorized personnel. Maintains controls and inventory levels, conducts physical inventory counts, reconciles results with records, and performs analysis of inventory levels. Initiates and manages computer transaction entries to maintain accurate inventory records. Performs stocking, issuing, and issuing returns of parts within storeroom areas to maintenance personnel.
Responsibilities- Maintain controls and inventory levels for maintenance parts and PPE.
- Conduct physical inventory counts and reconcile results with inventory records.
- Ensure accurate quantities of incoming and outgoing inventory.
- Analyze inventory levels and coordinate with production and maintenance requirements.
- Initiate and conduct computer transaction entries and manage transactions to maintain inventory records.
- Perform stocking and issuing of parts within storeroom areas to maintenance personnel.
- Review purchase orders, receive purchased material, check against packing slip for accuracy, and enter receiving and inventory information into the inventory system.
- Store incoming material properly after receipt and issue returns for unused material per SOP guidelines.
- Enter or remove all parts in the inventory management system daily as required.
- Perform cycle counts to assure and maintain inventory accuracy.
- Report stock balance discrepancies to supervisor and resolve them.
- Take physical inventory to identify reorder needs for supervisor approval.
- Maintain proper inventory levels of PPE storage areas and deliver PPE to departments as requested.
- Locate stock and deliver items to their destination outside of storeroom upon request.
- Clean and organize all storerooms and PPE locations, including sweeping and scraping.
- Maintain organized parts storerooms and PPE locations to ensure quick and easy access to spare parts.
- Comply with cGMP requirements.
- High school diploma or equivalent.
- 1–3 years of professional work experience.
- Experience using inventory control systems or other data-based computer systems.
- Basic math skills.
- Strong verbal and written communication skills.
- Strong customer service skills.
- Proficiency with PC-based Windows operating system.
- Organizational and relationship skills.
- Problem‑solving: ability to systematically connect information, processes, and events; break tasks into manageable parts; develop contingency plans.
- Attention to detail: thorough and precise; double‑check accuracy; provide timely information.
- Composure: calm under pressure; maintain composure in challenging situations.
- Positive attitude: commitment, accountability, and takes personal responsibility to resolve problems.
Pay rate: $25.98 per hour.
Shift: Monday – Friday, 8:00am – 4:30pm.
