Job Description
We are seeking a dynamic and detail-oriented Consulting Accounts Payable Clerk to join our team. This role requires a confident individual who is ready to take on the challenge of managing the accounts payable department in a high-volume, deadline-driven environment. The successful candidate will handle the full cycle of accounts payable functions, ensuring accuracy and efficiency, processing and monitoring incoming payments, and securing revenue by verifying and posting receipts.

Salary: $20 - $25 per hour.
Responsibilities- Manage full-cycle accounts payable functions including invoice processing, payment processing, and vendor management.
- Perform daily financial transactions, including verifying, classifying, computing, posting, and recording accounts payable data.
- Prepare bills, invoices, and bank deposits with adherence to established policies and procedures.
- Reconcile the accounts payable ledger to ensure all payments are accounted for and properly posted.
- Verify discrepancies and resolve client billing issues.
- Facilitate payment of invoices due by sending bill reminders and contacting clients.
- Generate financial reports detailing accounts payable status.
- Collaborate with the accounting team to execute monthly, quarterly, and year-end financial audits.
- Develop and implement improvements to the accounts payable process.
- Maintain confidentiality of organizational information.
- 2+ years of proven working experience as an Accounts Payable Clerk.
- Solid understanding of basic bookkeeping and accounting principles.
- Proven ability to calculate, post, and manage accounting figures and financial records.
- Proficiency in MS Office, particularly Excel, for producing detailed financial and auditing reports.
- High degree of accuracy and attention to detail.
- Excellent data entry skills and strong numerical aptitude.
- Hands‑on experience with spreadsheets and proprietary software.
- High school diploma required; associate’s or bachelor’s degree in Finance, Accounting, or Business Administration preferred.
- Knowledge of accounts payable/general ledger systems, procedural, and corporate practices is a plus.
- Ability to work independently and with a team in a fast‑paced, high-volume environment with emphasis on accuracy and timeliness.
