We are partnering with a growing general contractor that has built a strong reputation for delivering high-quality construction projects across specialized markets. As the company continues to expand its footprint, they are seeking an experienced Traveling Superintendent to help lead projects in Albuquerque and Salt Lake City.

Position SummaryThe Traveling Superintendent will be responsible for overseeing all on-site construction activities, ensuring projects are completed safely, on schedule, within budget, and to the highest quality standards. The ideal candidate will have extensive experience managing healthcare facilities, federal projects, and occupied renovation environments while maintaining strong communication with project teams, subcontractors, and clients.
Key Responsibilities- Manage all day-to-day field operations from project startup through closeout.
- Develop and maintain project schedules, coordinating subcontractors, suppliers, and field personnel.
- Enforce site safety programs and ensure compliance with OSHA regulations and company safety standards.
- Monitor quality control and ensure work is completed according to contract documents and specifications.
- Lead subcontractor meetings and coordinate project activities to maintain schedule milestones.
- Identify and proactively resolve field issues, conflicts, and project risks.
- Maintain accurate daily reports, site documentation, and progress updates.
- Coordinate inspections, testing, commissioning, and turnover activities.
- Work closely with Project Managers and clients to ensure successful project delivery.
- Manage projects in active healthcare and federal environments with minimal disruption to ongoing operations.
- 7+ years of experience as a Superintendent on commercial construction projects.
- Demonstrated experience managing healthcare construction projects, including renovations and occupied facilities.
- Strong federal construction experience required.
- Knowledge of federal project requirements, specifications, and compliance standards.
- Experience coordinating inspections and working with government agencies and stakeholders.
- Proven ability to manage multiple subcontractors and maintain aggressive project schedules.
- Strong understanding of construction means and methods, scheduling, safety, and quality control.
- Proficiency with construction management software and project documentation tools.
- OSHA 30 certification preferred.
- Ability and willingness to travel extensively nationwide.
- Healthcare facilities, hospitals, clinics, medical office buildings, or VA projects.
- Federal agencies such as USACE, VA, GSA, DoD, or similar government entities.
- Renovation, expansion, and ground-up construction projects.
- Secure or occupied facility environments.
