Adjunct Welding Instructor

Reports To:

Dean of Career and Technical Education

• Teach welding courses for NMJC students
• Present welding demonstrations to groups and individuals as needed
• Monitor and maintain NMJC welding labs, equipment, and classrooms to ensure that they are safe, operational and sufficient to meet the needs of the students and college; administer and evaluate student assignments via face-to-face and online environments
• Ensure student compliance with NMJC and OSHA safety policies and regulations for the welding program
• Be willing to take part in both welding and instructor training as needed
• Follow NMJC policies and procedures as published by the Faculty Handbook, college catalog, and current contract
• Accept other duties as assigned by the Dean or program supervisor
• May serve on various campus committees as assigned
• Performs other duties as assigned or required
• Nothing contained herein shall limit the President in assigning the employee to any of the various college activities for which he/she would be qualified in order to meet the needs of New Mexico Junior College

• Have a competent level of knowledge and expertise in the general Welding field necessary to instruct welding classes, as determined by the institution
• Must be able to interact with students, instructors, and supervisors in a mature, professional manner
• Must be honest, prompt, and dependable

Salary is based on the NMJC part-time faculty salary schedule.
