Publications/Forms/Records Assistant Overview
SMS is looking for a Publications/Forms/Records Assistant on the Kirtland AFB C4 Contract in Albuquerque, New Mexico. The Publications/Forms/Records Assistant is responsible in the operation, maintenance and compliance of the Publications/Forms and Records Management Programs at Kirtland AFB. Provides oversight of proper maintenance, protection and disposition of official records. Responsible for reviewing, publishing and maintaining an index of all active and inactive Kirtland AFB Forms and Publications IAW AF directives.
Conduct individual and classroom training for both programs. Update and maintain all databases/rosters, in addition to using a variety of web-based tools specific to AF programs. Coordinates with the customer on specific requirements that pertain to their organization/unit.

Responsibilities- Responsible in the operation, maintenance and compliance of the Publications/Forms and Records Management Programs at Kirtland AFB.
- Provide oversight of proper maintenance, protection and disposition of official records.
- Responsible for reviewing, publishing and maintaining an index of all active and inactive Kirtland AFB Forms and Publications IAW AF directives.

- Knowledge of records/data management and Air Force directives
- Excellence in creating and editing of technical documents
- Customer service skills and experience
- Must have the ability to understand and carry out oral and written instructions
- Must meet with the customer tactfully and courteously and establish and maintain cooperative and effective working relationships with customers and coworkers
- Demonstrative and Informative Speaking
- Applicant must be able to interpret, develop, and maintain records, publications and forms.
- Knowledge of MS Office applications.
- Must have solid verbal and written communication skills.
- Applicant must show close attention to detail.
- Applicant must possess refined critical thinking skills, should be a self-starter.
- Must be diplomatic, multi-task capable, adaptive to a dynamic environment, dependable and reliable.
- Valid US Driver’s License Required.
- Requires an active DoD SECRET security clearance or the ability to obtain an Interim Secret clearance prior to start.
