Position Summary
The City of Eunice, New Mexico, a community of approximately 3,500 residents, is seeking an energetic, community-minded professional to serve as its next City Manager. The City Manager serves as the chief administrative officer of the City and is responsible for overseeing municipal operations, implementing policies established by the Mayor and City Council, managing finances and personnel, and ensuring the effective delivery of public services.
SalaryCompetitive; dependent upon qualifications and experience

Essential Duties and Responsibilities- Direct and oversee daily municipal operations and departments.
- Prepare and administer the City’s annual budget.
- Advise the Mayor and City Council on operational and financial matters.
- Supervise City staff and assist with personnel management.
- Oversee infrastructure projects, maintenance programs, and community services.
- Ensure compliance with applicable laws, regulations, and City policies.
- Assist with grant opportunities, economic development efforts, and community initiatives.
- Maintain positive relationships with residents, businesses, and community partners.
- Bachelor's degree in Public Administration, Business Administration, Finance, Political Science, or a related field preferred.
- Experience in management, supervision, business administration, public administration, finance, public works, economic development, or a related field.
- Strong organizational, communication, and leadership skills.
- Ability to work effectively with elected officials, employees, and the public.
- Valid driver's license or ability to obtain one.
- Experience in local government, public administration, business management, public works, utilities, or a related field.
- Budgeting and personnel management experience.
- Knowledge of municipal operations and community development.
- A practical problem-solver.
- Accessible and responsive to citizens.
- Financially responsible and accountable.
- Able to work collaboratively with elected officials and staff.
- Committed to maintaining and improving services for the community.
