Why does the job exist?
Incumbent will be responsible for administering and monitoring Human Resource operations, such as Workers Compensation, Benefits, and Payroll functions.
How does it get done?Incumbent will assist employees with Leave of Absence request (LOA), review Family Medical Leave (FMLA) documentation for accuracy and completeness. Submit Workers Compensation documentation to Claims adjuster. Communicate with third‑party vendor and employees regarding benefits eligibility. Process weekly payroll audits within deadlines.
Who are the customers?NMBHI staff including management/ HR current/Former and potential employees as well as other State Agency personnel.
Ideal Candidate- Experience working in Human Resource operations;
- Experience working with Workers Compensation;
- Experience working with SHARE;
- Experience with customer services.
Bachelor's degree in any field. Any combination of education from an accredited college or university and/or direct experience in this occupation totaling four (4) years may substitute for the required education.
Employment RequirementsMust possess and maintain a valid driver's license.
Working ConditionsThis position will perform work in an office setting with exposure to Visual/Video Display Terminal (VDT) and extensive computer and phone usage. May be required to work weekends, holiday, overtime, shift work and call back hours as needed. Effective 1/01/2015, the New Mexico Behavioral Health Institute became tobacco products or E‑Cigarette products are permitted on any part of the campus. Work department is Human Resources.
Shift is 8:00 am to 5:00 pm.
