The Field Sales Specialist is a full-time, on-site role based in Hobbs, NM, responsible for driving sales of Baker Hughes products and services to existing and prospective customers. This role involves identifying sales opportunities, generating and qualifying leads, preparing proposals, and negotiating terms to meet revenue and growth objectives. The Field Sales Specialist will build and maintain strong customer relationships, provide responsive service, and collaborate with internal teams to ensure delivery of tailored solutions.
Daily activities include visiting customer locations, conducting product presentations, gathering market intelligence, and maintaining accurate sales records and reports using company systems. The role also requires adherence to Baker Hughes’ safety standards and participation in training and development programs to stay current on product offerings and industry trends.
- Candidates should possess strong Communication skills, including clear verbal and written communication and effective presentation abilities.
- Candidates should possess Customer Service skills focused on building trust, managing customer expectations, and providing timely support and follow-up.
- Candidates should possess Sales skills, including opportunity identification, pipeline management, and closing deals in a B2B or industrial environment.
- Candidates should possess Lead Generation and Sales Operations skills to prospect new clients, manage accounts, and maintain accurate CRM and reporting processes.
- Relevant qualifications include experience in field or technical sales, preferably in energy or industrial markets, and a valid driver's license for regular customer visits.
- Additional beneficial qualifications include familiarity with oilfield services or energy technology, basic technical aptitude, and an associate or bachelor’s degree in business, engineering, or a related field.
