Assistant Controller, Alternative Energy Startup

Kforce's client, an Alternative Energy startup (Series B) headquartered in Hoboken, NJ, is seeking its first in‑house Accounting Senior Manager/Assistant Controller. The company is sponsored by a world‑class VC with a strong 30‑year track record and has a proven record of growth and profitability. The CFO is world‑class and a great mentor. Over the next few years, you will bring accounting and reporting in‑house, leading the effort and putting your stamp on the accounting department and the company.

• Month‑end close
• General ledger
• Account analysis and reconciliation
• Budget and variance analysis
• Management of treasury
• Support audits
• Improve accounting processes by advancing automation
• Financial reporting
• Financial statement preparation

• Bachelor's degree in Accounting
• Master's degree a plus
• CPA a plus
• Over 6 years of experience
• Experience as an accountant or auditor in the Alternative Energy, Solar, and/or Wind Industries
• Experience as a Manager
• Multi‑entity accounting experience a plus
• Cost accounting a plus
