Planning and General Affairs Administration Administrator
We are seeking a bilingual Japanese candidate to assist with corporate planning, business analysis, and general administration duties at Sumitomo Mitsui Trust Bank USA.
Responsibilities- Assist the management of Corporate Planning to design, coordinate, implement and monitor bank‑wide projects.
- Assist in semi‑annual bank‑wide planning and budgeting & expense control.
- Prepare analytical reports for Tokyo in Japanese.
- Maintain data related to the Bank’s Custodial and Securities Lending Business and analyze profitability and future prospects to develop strategy.
- Conduct market research related to Custodial Business and analyze the gap between the Bank and Markets.
- Perform administrative work on accounts payable related tasks.
- Research information from various sources such as Internet, information vendors, banking regulators and other U.S. global custodians.
- Assist in preparing the annual Business Plan and monitoring the budget and expenses.
- Analyze collected information and prepare reports for management review.
- Coordinate, implement and monitor bank‑wide projects related to Risks and Managerial Accounting to improve efficiency and resource allocation.
- Assist Planning management in day‑to‑day operations.
- Coordinate Tokyo‑related matters and monitor related documents, as required.
- Translate important documents as needed.
- Support General Affairs tasks as instructed by management.
- Perform all functions as assigned by management.
- Provide high quality work by ensuring accuracy and continuously improving processes and platforms.
- Bachelor’s degree in Business Administration or equivalent.
- Strong oral and written communication skills in English and Japanese.
- Good interpersonal skills.
- Proficient in PC skills, including Microsoft applications such as Excel, Word and PowerPoint.
