At Tessa International School, we offer three language tracks:
Spanish, French, and Mandarin, and are accredited by the International Baccalaureate Organization (IB) and the French Ministry of Education. We are also recognized as a NAIS model school.
We are looking for a caring Mandarin Assistant Teacher for one of our classes in the Mandarin track for the School Year.
Duties and Responsibilities- Assists with classroom and behavior management
- Keeps the classroom and the school clean, tidy, and presentable at all times
- Assists Lead Teacher in a range of tasks as needed
- Leads outdoor play and any field trips
- Participates in meetings and trainings as needed
- May perform diaper changing, feeding and soothing of very young children depending on the class
- Assists in other duties as assigned by leadership
- Excellent command of Mandarin & English
- 3 years working experience in school
- Degree in early childhood education, child development or similar discipline preferred
- Experience with the IB PYP is preferable, but not required
- Strong communication skills, a sense of humor, humility, and empathy
- Team-player
- Commitment to diversity and inclusion
- Previous experience at an international school and/or cultural fluency derived from international experience is a plus
- 8 hours Monday to Friday
