Ethics Course Instructor – Bridge Summer Program
Position SummaryThe Stevens Technical Enrichment Program (STEP) seeks an instructor to design and deliver an ethics course for incoming first‑year students. The instructor will introduce bioethics principles, guide students in applying analytical tools to real‑world scenarios, and help students reflect on how ethical principles relate to their academic and personal lives.
Responsibilities- Design a comprehensive syllabus covering bioethics and ethical decision‑making.
- Present weekly lectures, facilitate homework assignments, and oversee group projects.
- Guide students in applying analytical tools to evaluate STEM and business contexts.
- Encourage reflection on ethical principles in students’ academic and personal lives.
- Manage two undergraduate teaching assistants who act as in‑class assistants, liaisons, and peer tutors.
Base pay: $1,666.66 – $1,666.66 semi‑monthly. Compensation is based on scope, responsibilities, qualifications, and institutional considerations. This figure reflects base pay only and excludes additional compensation components.
