The successful candidate will be responsible for planning and delivering engaging instruction through both small-group lessons and large ensemble rehearsals, while fostering students' musical growth, confidence, and appreciation for the performing arts.

Instruction should include the development of fundamental string techniques such as: instrument care and maintenance, proper posture and playing position, finger placement and intonation, bow hold and bowing techniques, pizzicato (plucking) and arco (bowing) performance, tone production and articulation, reading standard music notation, rhythm and counting skills, and ensemble performance skills. Music literacy, expression, and musicianship are also important.

Additionally, candidates with experience in choral music, vocal ensembles, musical direction, accompanying, or related performing arts disciplines are strongly encouraged to apply. Experience directing school musicals, coordinating pit orchestras, preparing student performers for public performances, or collaborating across performing arts programs is considered a plus.
