About the OpportunityA growing real estate investment firm is seeking an Associate to join its investment team, with responsibilities spanning both acquisitions and asset management. WhatYou'll Do
Asset Management
- Monitor the financial and operational performance of multifamily investments.
- Partner with operating teams to execute property-level business plans.
- Analyze monthly financial results, leasing activity, budgets, forecasts, and capital projects.
- Identify opportunities to increase revenue, reduce expenses, and improve investment returns.
- Maintain asset-level financial models, valuations, and return analyses.
- Prepare portfolio reporting and investment recommendations for senior leadership.
- Support refinancing, recapitalization, and disposition initiatives.
Acquisitions & Investments
- Underwrite prospective value-add multifamily acquisitions.
- Build detailed financial models and evaluate investment returns across multiple scenarios.
- Conduct market, property, operating, and financial due diligence.
- Review offering materials, rent rolls, operating statements, market data, and capital plans.
- Prepare investment committee materials and clearly communicate key risks and opportunities.
- Assist with transaction execution, financing, closing, and the transition of new assets into the portfolio.
- Develop relationships with brokers, lenders, operators, and other industry participants.
- Approximately 2-6 years of experience in real estate acquisitions, asset management, investment analysis, or private equity.
- Experience underwriting or managing value-add multifamily investments.
- Strong financial modeling, valuation, and analytical skills.
- Understanding of property operations, renovation programs, capital structures, and investment returns.
- Ability to evaluate an investment from both transaction and operational perspectives.
- Strong communication, organization, and presentation skills.
- Entrepreneurial mindset and comfort working within a growing, hands-on investment platform.
- Bachelor's degree in finance, real estate, economics, accounting, or a related field.
- Gain meaningful exposure to both acquisitions and asset management.
- Work across the complete investment lifecycle, from initial underwriting through disposition.
- Take on significant responsibility within a growing investment platform.
- Work directly with senior leadership and experienced investment professionals.
- Help drive the performance and expansion of a value-add multifamily portfolio.
