Head of Product (Data Analytics & AI)
As Group VP, Head of Product, you will be the accountable executive owner of Wiley’s AI & Data Analytics Business Unit product portfolio, leading the company’s second growth engine.
Key Responsibilities- Own an integrated product strategy and roadmap across AI & Data Analytics Platform Services, Database Solutions, and Audience Solutions, ensuring shared foundations and capabilities.
- Translate commercial intake into priority roadmaps with milestones, business cases, and launch/hold decisions.
- Design product architecture to serve corporate buyers and near‑term revenue opportunities, including structuring capabilities for the Applied Research Intelligence Platform.
- Lead productization of proprietary scientific collections, transforming legacy content into structured, machine‑readable data products.
- Define buying & licensing strategies for advertising and audience engagement, supported by behavioral analytics.
- Validate use‑case depth with data science and commercial teams, investing in proven opportunities.
- Drive build/buy/partner decisions, establishing commercial framing, strategic rationale, and partner guardrails.
- Lead and develop a multi‑disciplinary product organization, building processes and culture for enterprise‑grade execution.
- Collaborate with commercial leaders, Head of Data Science, and Head of Technology to align strategy with the division’s AI‑powered vision.
- 15+ years of product management experience, including 7+ years leading enterprise SaaS, data, or AI/ML product organizations.
- Track record of owning a product portfolio from validation through scaled commercial deployment, including pricing architecture and product economics.
- Experience translating complex technical features into outcome‑based value propositions for varied buyer personas.
- Expertise in building and commercializing data products (structured datasets, APIs, knowledge graphs, AI analytics) for regulated markets.
- Familiarity with corporate R&D buyer cycles in science or engineering sectors.
- Demonstrated platform thinking, avoiding costly one‑off solutions.
- Strong product economics understanding, linking decisions to ARR, NRR, and unit economics.
- Proven ability to lead cross‑functional teams across commercial, data science, and engineering.
- Working knowledge of modern data stack technologies, API design, and enterprise integration architectures.
- Competency in product analytics, A/B experimentation, and evidence‑based prioritization.
- Familiarity with enterprise security and privacy standards (SOC2 Type II, ISO 27001, GDPR, CCPA).
Salary Range: $218,900 to $328,567 USD
