Job Title:
QA Engineer (Playwright Automation)
Location:
Hoboken, NJ (Onsite – 4 days/week; flexibility possible)
Experience:
10+ Years
We are seeking an experienced QA Engineer with strong expertise in Playwright automation to join our team. The ideal candidate will have a solid background in test automation, framework development, and end-to-end testing of modern web applications. This role requires a hands‑on professional who can contribute to both manual and automated testing efforts while working closely with development and product teams.
Key Responsibilities- Design, develop, and maintain automated test scripts using Playwright
- Build and enhance scalable test automation frameworks
- Perform functional, regression, integration, and end-to-end testing
- Collaborate with developers, product managers, and stakeholders to understand requirements and define test strategies
- Identify, document, and track defects through resolution
- Ensure high test coverage and maintain test reliability
- Participate in CI/CD pipeline integration for automated test execution
- Analyze test results and provide detailed reports on quality metrics
- Mentor junior QA engineers and promote best testing practices
Skills & Qualifications
- 10+ years of experience in QA/testing
- Strong hands‑on experience with Playwright (JavaScript/Type Script)
- Experience in building automation frameworks from scratch
- Solid understanding of web technologies (HTML, CSS, JavaScript)
- Experience with API testing (REST/Graph
QL) - Familiarity with CI/CD tools (e.g., Jenkins, Git Hub Actions, Git Lab CI)
- Strong knowledge of test methodologies, SDLC, and STLC
- Experience with defect tracking tools (e.g., JIRA)
Excellent analytical and problem‑solving skills
- Experience with performance or security testing
- Exposure to cloud platforms (AWS, Azure, or GCP)
- Experience working in Agile/Scrum environments
- Strong communication and stakeholder management skills
- Onsite in Jersey City, NJ (4 days/week)
- Open to candidates willing to consider a slightly flexible onsite schedule
- Office location is near Hoboken, NJ
- Strong preference for candidates who can work onsite and collaborate closely with the team
