Job Summary
The Linux Infrastructure Engineering and Cloud Centric team member will oversee Linux/Unix engineering and operations. Responsibilities include managing operating system build and support for Linux (Red Hat), Cloud AWS, Unix (AIX), ensuring hardware support, vulnerability patch management, security, risk, and compliance. The role also leads automation efforts and provides support for various initiatives.
Responsibilities- Oversee build and support of operating systems including Linux (Red Hat), Cloud AWS, Unix (AIX), and Red Hat Enterprise Virtualization.
- Ensure hardware support for IBM pSeries (AIX).
- Manage vulnerability patch management and ensure compliance with technical security standards.
- Lead automation efforts using Ansible and Terraform.
- Provide engineering and support for automation efforts on supported platforms.
- Collaborate with various departments to support project initiatives.
- Monitor and analyze support requests, ensuring timely resolution of issues.
- Manage and track operational, preventative, project, and maintenance support activities.
- Lead efforts to migrate systems and decommission outdated platforms.
- Ensure compliance with security and risk management protocols.
- Minimum 6+ years of experience in managing Linux/Unix engineering and operations teams.
- Strong knowledge of Linux (Red Hat), Cloud AWS, Unix (AIX), Red Hat Enterprise Virtualization.
- Experience with hardware support for IBM pSeries (AIX) and proficiency in vulnerability patch management and compliance with technical security standards.
- Experience with automation platforms like Ansible and Terraform.
- Excellent leadership and team management skills.
- Strong analytical and problem-solving abilities.
- Effective communication and collaboration skills.
- Certifications in Linux, AWS, or related technologies.
- Experience with cloud platforms and virtualization technologies.
- Knowledge of security and risk management protocols.
- Familiarity with project management methodologies.
- Bachelor's degree in Computer Science or a closely-related discipline, or equivalent combination of formal education and experience.

Pay Range- New York / New Jersey: $159k – 194k
- Non–New York / New Jersey: $140k – 174k
