Job Summary

The VP for Incident Response Planning and Operations leads the cyber security wargaming and incident readiness program, focusing on the Americas while coordinating with global teams.

Major Responsibilities
  • Program Leadership – develop and manage a comprehensive cyber wargaming and incident readiness program, aligning tabletop exercises with enterprise risk management.
  • Exercise Design & Execution – design and facilitate cyber incident tabletop exercises, red/blue team simulations, and strategic wargames for executive (CXO) level stakeholders.
  • Readiness Assessment – evaluate response capabilities, identify gaps, produce detailed reports and track remediation efforts across stakeholders.
  • Stakeholder Engagement – work closely with Enterprise Information Security, IT, security operations, legal, communications, and executive leadership to present findings and recommendations.
  • Continuous Improvement – monitor cyber threat trends, integrate lessons learned, and champion modernization of incident response planning and operations.
Qualifications
  • Bachelor’s degree in Cybersecurity, Information Technology, or related field.
  • 7+ years in cybersecurity with incident response or threat management experience.
  • Excellent communication, facilitation, writing, and analytical skills.
  • Experience designing and facilitating tabletop exercises or cyber simulations.
  • Knowledge of CRI, NIST, MITRE ATT&CK, and other cybersecurity frameworks.
  • Ability to work cross‑functionally and influence without direct authority.
  • Prior experience in a global company preferred.
  • Japanese language proficiency is a major advantage.
Desired Skills
  • Knowledge in Incident Response, Forensics, Governance, Risk Management, Network Security, or Threat & Vulnerability Management.
  • Cloud security, AI security, network and application security.
  • Operational processes such as security monitoring, data correlation, troubleshooting, and security operations.
Compensation

Base pay range: $123,000 – $194,000 (dependant on location and experience). Eligibility for discretionary performance-based bonuses and incentive compensation.
