Logistics Specialist

Our client, a leader in supply chain and logistics management, is seeking a Logistics Specialist to join their team. As a Logistics Specialist, you will be part of the Logistics Planning Department supporting deployment and distribution operations. The ideal candidate will have strong analytical skills, excellent communication abilities, and a proactive mindset, which will align successfully in the organization.

Location:

Hoboken, NJ

Pay Range: $35 to $49 p/h on w-2

Duration: 6 months with the possibility of extension/conversion

• Execute the distribution requirements plan by creating Stock Transfer Orders to move inventory within the network.
• Collaborate cross-functionally with Supply Planning, Transportation, Warehousing, and Manufacturing teams to ensure seamless deployment and inventory accuracy.
• Monitor key performance indicators such as On-Time deployment, Truckload Utilization, and Stock Transfer Accuracy to meet business objectives.
• Analyze data to identify root causes of deviations and implement continuous improvement initiatives.
• Lead capacity planning, scheduling, and data accuracy efforts to optimize supply chain efficiency.

• Bachelor's Degree from an accredited university, preferably in Logistics, Supply Chain, Operations, or Business Management.
• At least 2 years of experience in Logistics or Planning within a Consumer-Packaged Goods environment.
• Strong analytical skills with the ability to interpret complex data sets.
• Excellent communication skills to effectively engage with all levels of management.
• Proficiency in Microsoft Excel, PowerPoint, Outlook, Teams, and Power BI; experience with SAP APO, ECC, Kinaxis Rapid Response, and logistics systems such as TMS, WMS, or YMS is preferred.
