$30.00/hr – $32.00/hr
Responsibilities- Perform ongoing facility maintenance and repairs to keep the company’s multifamily property operating and appearing at its best.
- Use your three‑plus years of experience in property maintenance to address work orders before issues become major.
- Conduct light carpentry, minor electrical or plumbing repairs, HVAC system work, and keep the property and resident amenities (pool, clubhouse) clean and functional.
- Engage residents in a friendly, efficient manner while ensuring a safe working environment for the team and a safe living environment for residents.
- Work full‑time Monday through Friday, with occasional on‑call hours as required.
- Maintain your own toolkit; use company‑owned or personal vehicle to move around the property or pickup supplies; a valid driver’s license is required.
- Full‑time position:
Monday through Friday, 8:00 AM – 5:00 PM with scheduled on‑call duties. - Equipment and supplies are usually provided; you must manage your own toolkit.
- Valid driver’s license required if vehicles are used.
- Medical, dental, vision, and basic life insurance.
- 401(k) auto‑enrollment after 60 days of employment.
- 40 vacation hours in the first year.
- Paid sick leave per state requirements; holiday pay for employees working on holidays; paid holidays (six per year) for those scheduled off.
Skills and Abilities
- Treat residents with care, integrity, and respect.
- Maintain regular attendance and punctuality.
- Demonstrate attention to detail in completing jobs and identifying hazards.
- Familiarity with diverse tools and materials for residential building maintenance.
- Excellent verbal and written communication skills.
- Treat everyone with respect and dignity, accept responsibility, take ownership, follow through, and maintain confidentiality.
- Excellent organizational and time‑management skills.
- Ability to function well in a fast‑paced, high‑volume environment.
- Basic proficiency with Microsoft Office or related software.
- High school diploma or GED required, with a minimum of 2 years of relevant work experience (preferably in property management or hospitality).
- Prior experience in general building maintenance, painting, light carpentry, electrical, plumbing, or HVAC systems preferred.
- Must be at least 18 years of age.
- Must own tools.
- Valid driver’s license required for vehicle use.
- Expected work hours:
Monday through Friday, 8:00 AM – 5:00 PM plus scheduled on‑call hours and occasional weekends; during high‑traffic holiday periods, schedules follow company standards. - Travel:
Occasionally drive a company‑owned or personal vehicle for business. - Work environment and physical demands:
- Able to lift or move items weighing up to 25 pounds frequently, up to 50 pounds occasionally.
- Use hands to manipulate tools and equipment; adequate vision; stamina and dexterity.
- Move around property—standing, walking, climbing stairs and ladders, stooping, kneeling, crouching, or crawling—to perform tasks in various weather conditions and climates.
- FLSA Status:
Nonexempt.
