Role: Director of Finance
Salary: $150,000 - $165,000/annually + Benefits
Location: Hoboken, NJ (
* 5 days a week onsite*)
- Business Partnership: Act as the primary financial advisor to the General Manager and ownership, providing the "story" behind the numbers.
- Ownership Relations: Lead high-level presentations of monthly results, forecasts, and strategic analyses to regional leadership and stakeholders.
- Performance Insight: Deliver actionable intelligence on P&L performance, cash flow, and operational trends to drive profitability.
- Full-Cycle Oversight: Lead all accounting functions, including AP/AR, payroll, cash management, and general ledger integrity.
- Closing & Reporting: Drive the month-end and year-end close processes, ensuring 100% accuracy and GAAP compliance.
- Budgeting & Forecasting: Spearhead the annual budget and periodic reforecasts, partnering with department heads to optimize labor costs and revenue.
- M3 Expert: Serve as the on-property lead for M3 Accounting Software, ensuring all data is accurate, timely, and compliant with reporting standards.
- PMS Integration: Oversee the data flow from the Lightspeed Property Management System to ensure seamless revenue reporting and reconciliation.
- Continuous Improvement: Identify opportunities to leverage technology to improve reporting quality and back-office efficiency.
- Leadership: Directly manage and develop the Assistant Director of Finance and accounting staff.
- Culture: Foster a collaborative, high-performance environment built on clear expectations and professional growth.
- Education: Bachelor's degree in Accounting, Finance, or a related field.
- Experience: 5-8+ years of hotel accounting experience, with significant leadership responsibility.
- Systems Expertise: M3 Accounting Software (Required).
- Lightspeed PMS (Strongly Preferred).
- Advanced Excel skills (Pivot tables, VLOOKUPs, and complex modeling).
- Soft Skills: Exceptional communication skills and the ability to influence stakeholders at the ownership level.
