About the roleWe’re looking for a strategic, creative, and insight‑driven brand storyteller. As the Manager, Brand Strategy, you’ll define and evolve Walmart Connect’s external brand presence across digital, experiential, and owned and paid touchpoints, ensuring a cohesive, differentiated, and modern expression of our brand. You’ll collaborate cross‑functionally with Comms, Product Marketing, Creative, Growth Marketing, Events, Media Insights, Sales, and more to build strategies that strengthen how we communicate Walmart Connect’s value proposition and innovation in the retail media space.
This role reports to the Senior Manager, Brand Strategy.
- Shape and guide Walmart Connect’s brand positioning and expression, ensuring consistent messaging and visual identity alignment across all touchpoints.
- Ensure a consistent tone, look, and feel across digital, experiential, and media environments.
- Partner with internal creative and marketing teams to translate brand strategy into compelling campaigns and activations.
- Oversee the strategic direction and storytelling for , ensuring the site reflects and strengthens Walmart Connect’s brand narrative.
- Partner with the Growth Marketing team (owners of paid media and the blog) to evolve site content and messaging based on insights and business priorities.
- Ensure the website experience and content are aligned with Walmart Connect’s value proposition, messaging framework, and brand pillars, and reinforce narratives expressed across campaigns and events.
- Define Walmart Connect’s brand strategy and positioning for key industry tentpoles (e.g., CES, Cannes Lions, ANAMasters of Marketing), partnering closely with Comms to shape how the brand shows up across content, creative, and executive visibility.
- Build frameworks and talking points that bring Walmart Connect’s retail media leadership to life.
- Partner with Events, Comms, Creative, and Sales teams to align narratives across stages, videos, and marketing materials.
- Partner with Insights and Analytics to define and track brand health metrics—awareness, favorability, and perception.
- Lead ad perception and measurement strategy to evaluate and strengthen brand equity in market.
- Leverage insights and competitive analysis to inform brand evolution and messaging priorities.
- Champion new storytelling formats, including video, visual, and experiential content, that elevate brand engagement.
- Collaborate with internal and external partners to produce high‑quality, insight‑driven creative assets.
- Explore innovative ways to tell our story through partnerships, paid media, media collaborations, and emerging platforms.
- Develop and manage strategic brand partnerships and co‑marketing opportunities that enhance Walmart Connect’s visibility.
- Work closely with agency and vendor partners, managing budgets and ensuring delivery of best‑in‑class brand work.
- Align with cross‑functional leads to ensure a unified, enterprise‑level brand presence across the Walmart ecosystem.
- Partner with Legal and Data Governance teams on a regular basis to review and approve external‑facing assets from a brand perspective, ensuring compliance with brand guidelines.
