Minimum Qualifications:
- Current and valid Registered Nurse (RN) license in the state of New Jersey.
- Bachelor of Science in Nursing (BSN) degree or equivalent from an accredited nursing program.
- Minimum of 2 years of experience working in an Intensive Care Unit or critical care setting.
- Basic Life Support (BLS) and Advanced Cardiovascular Life Support (ACLS) certifications.
- Strong knowledge of ICU protocols, patient monitoring systems, and critical care pharmacology.
Preferred Qualifications:
- Certification in Critical Care Nursing (CCRN) or equivalent specialty certification.
- Experience with electronic medical record (EMR) systems such as Medi Tech.
- Additional certifications such as Pediatric Advanced Life Support (PALS) or Trauma Nursing Core Course (TNCC).
- Demonstrated experience in patient and family education within critical care environments.
- Proven ability to work effectively in multidisciplinary teams and high-pressure situations.
Responsibilities:
- Provide direct nursing care to critically ill patients, including monitoring vital signs, administering medications, and managing life-support equipment.
- Collaborate with physicians, respiratory therapists, and other healthcare professionals to develop and adjust patient care plans based on ongoing assessments.
- Respond promptly to emergency situations, performing advanced interventions such as intubation assistance, cardiac life support, and hemodynamic monitoring.
- Document patient information accurately and thoroughly in electronic health records to ensure continuity of care and compliance with regulatory standards.
