Overview
Position Summary... Walmart Connect’s Sales Leadership team is seeking an experienced Director to help scale and grow the Walmart Connect CTV Sales Specialist Team. This seasoned sales executive will own the strategy and implementation for a team of CTV Sales Specialists who carry quota for Walmart’s CTV offering. The Sales Specialist Team is a group of expert sellers who support the Enterprise Sales Team and the Agency Sales Team by collaborating on account strategy and delivering pitches for Walmart’s ad products.
The ideal candidate will balance sales and program management, showing an ability to create structure in a complex, cross-functional organization. This candidate should be an expert in CTV, including demonstrated ability to understand industry trends, customer needs, and cross-functional collaboration with Sales Operations, Product, and Product Marketing teams. The leader should thrive in an overlay environment where they work with other Walmart Connect sales leaders to understand needs and deliver against objectives.
They will be students of the Walmart ecosystem and how we can better serve our customers, bringing a solution‑oriented mindset to build and grow world-class partnerships that deliver significant business growth for Walmart Connect and our clients’ businesses. The candidate will have managed and scaled businesses in the past, with management experience and extensive experience selling or buying CTV, and some experience in retail media.
Additionally, experience working within a matrix organization and leading, coaching, and influencing people is preferred. Strong consultative sales skills, collaboration, and an innovative spirit with comfort dealing with ambiguity are required.
- Be responsible for driving results while strategically building a structured Walmart CTV Sales Specialist team
- Play a critical role in building, inspiring, training and managing a talented, motivated, highly consultative sales team
- Work collaboratively with cross functional teams such as Sales Strategy and Enablement, Product Marketing, Product, and Measurement and Insights to maximize effective utilization of the CTV Sales Specialist team
- Execute projects involving quantitative analysis, industry research and strategy development
- Evangelize WMC with agencies, clients and at targeted events, conferences and media opportunities and champion WMC product releases internally and externally
- Strong ability to forecast and efficiently allocate resources to drive profitable business results
- 3+ years hands on experience of building and capability to manage high performing teams
- Experience driving revenue growth with emerging opportunities and established partnerships
- Strong understanding of the advertising technology and data/performance measurement trends
- Skilled storyteller with experience communicating the benefit of marketing opportunities to brands
- Exceptional communication and presentation skills with an emphasis on translating insights, product information, and data into narratives
- Ability to perform well in highly dynamic, rapidly changing environment
- Proven ability to forge relationships with marketing decision makers
- Demonstrable success as a leader of change, achieving operational excellence by introducing new performance measures, processes and systems
- Provide strong leadership with the ability to build, train, coach and develop a high performing team including providing coaching and mentoring to other team leads
- Ability to effectively influence and communicate cross-functionally with a strong focus on collaboration

Bachelor’s degree in business, finance, marketing and sales, advertising, or related area and 5 years' experience in business development, market development, or related area. - Option 2: 7 years’ experience in business development, market development, or related area.
