Position SummaryWe are seeking an experienced Electrician II to support the maintenance, troubleshooting, repair, and installation of commercial and industrial electrical systems. This role is responsible for ensuring critical facility equipment operates safely and reliably while supporting preventive maintenance programs and responding to electrical issues as needed.
The ideal candidate has strong electrical maintenance experience, can read technical drawings, and is comfortable working with a variety of power distribution and facility support systems.
Responsibilities- Perform preventive maintenance, troubleshooting, repair, and installation of commercial and industrial electrical equipment.
- Diagnose electrical system issues and implement effective repair solutions.
- Maintain and service low-voltage and medium-voltage electrical systems.
- Troubleshoot and repair motor control centers (MCCs), panel boards, branch panels, and associated electrical equipment.
- Support operation and maintenance of chillers, variable frequency drives (VFDs), emergency generators, and uninterruptible power supply (UPS) systems.
- Read and interpret electrical, mechanical, and equipment drawings, schematics, and specifications.
- Inspect equipment and identify potential reliability or safety concerns.
- Follow established safety procedures and electrical codes.
- Accurately document maintenance activities, repairs, and inspections.
- Work closely with maintenance and operations teams to minimize equipment downtime and support facility operations.
- High school diploma or equivalent.
- Minimum of 3 years of commercial or industrial electrical maintenance experience.
- Strong understanding of electrical systems, components, and troubleshooting techniques.
- Experience working with power distribution equipment and facility electrical systems.
- Ability to read and interpret electrical and mechanical drawings and schematics.
- Mechanical aptitude and experience working with facility equipment.
- Strong problem-solving skills and attention to detail.
- Ability to work independently and as part of a team.
- Trade school, vocational training, or technical program diploma.
- Experience with VFDs, generators, UPS systems, MCCs, and industrial controls.
- Experience in manufacturing, industrial, utility, or large commercial facilities.
- Ability to stand, walk, climb ladders, bend, stoop, and work in confined spaces as needed.
- Ability to lift and carry tools, materials, and equipment.
- Comfortable working in industrial and maintenance environments.
