Are you a passionate and experienced childcare professional looking for a rewarding role where you can make a real difference in the lives of young people? If so, we have an exciting opportunity for you in a residential care home in Hoddesdon.

About the Role:

We are seeking a dedicated Deputy Manager to join our team. In this role, you will play a vital part in providing high-quality care and support to young people within a nurturing and supportive environment.

Key Responsibilities:

Work closely with the Home Manager to ensure the smooth and effective day-to-day running of the home.
Supervise and mentor a team of dedicated Residential Childcare Workers.
Develop and implement individual care plans for young people, ensuring their safety and well-being.
Build positive relationships with young people, their families, and other professionals.
Ensure compliance with all relevant regulations and best practice guidelines.
Deputise for the Home Manager in their absence.
Participate in on-call rota as required.

Essential Criteria :

Diploma Level 3 in Residential Childcare or equivalent.
Proven experience of working in a residential care setting for young people.

Experience of supervising and mentoring staff.
Excellent communication and interpersonal skills.
Strong understanding of child protection and safeguarding procedures.
Ability to work effectively as part of a team and independently.
Flexibility and adaptability to meet the needs of young people.
Full UK Driving Licence.

Experience of working with young people with challenging behaviour.
Knowledge of relevant legislation and regulations (e.g., Children Act 1989).Benefits of Joining Our Team:
