As a Structural Engineer, you'll be responsible for conceptualizing, designing, and analyzing various structural systems across a range of projects. - Perform structural modeling, analysis, and design for gravity and lateral design of structures, including concrete, masonry, and steel members.
- Produce construction documents for new design and restoration projects.
- Perform site visits to observe construction.
- Assist with restoration projects for existing structures.
Education Requirements:
- Minimum of a Bachelor's Degree in Architectural Engineering, Civil Engineering, or Structural Engineering or from an ABET‑accredited University, a Master's degree is a plus.
Other Requirements:
- Strong computer, writing, time management, communication, and team skills are necessary.
- Solid knowledge of structural engineering.
- Engineering Intern or Engineering in Training Certification, or the ability to obtain it.
- 3+ years of experience in structural design of precast, large multifamily residential, hotel/hospitality, and/or parking.
Coursework:
- Structural Analysis, Concrete Design, and Structural Steel Design
At Walker Consultants, we are committed to maintaining fairness and equity in our pay practices. For this role, the estimated base salary range is $80,000 – $110,000 per year. The final salary offered may vary based on factors such as experience, qualifications, skills, location, internal equity, and other considerations permitted by law.
