OverviewThe Speech-Language Pathologist will be responsible for providing intervention in the areas of articulation, language, and fluency. They will assess student needs, provide high-quality speech and language therapy, and collaborate with both school personnel and families to provide services to students. Every child deserves to reach their full potential and we’re looking to hire an exceptional clinician who will play an essential role in fueling student success.
Responsibilities- Design and implement intervention programs, which remediate deficit speech/language skills of identified students
- Work with school personnel and parents to design and implement the student’s intervention plan, individual service plan, or individual student plan most appropriate to address the student’s need
- Offer consultation and collaboration with school staff and parents in support of student’s speech language goals
- Act as a resource to parents, school personnel and other caregivers in the area of speech/language development
- Administer appropriate screening and/or diagnostic tests to determine child’s speech/language competency, if requested
- Interpret diagnostic tests, identify strengths and weaknesses in areas of speech/language skills, and generate reports providing feedback to school personnel and parents
- Be knowledgeable concerning all policies and procedures as established for these services
- Complete required paperwork in an accurate and timely manner
- Light lifting, walking, and/or climbing stairs may be required
- Bachelor’s Degree from an accredited institution of higher learning required
- Master’s Degree from an ASHA accredited university is preferred
- Valid Speech-Language Pathologist license/credential is required
- Certificate of Clinical Competency is preferred
- Experience working with students in a school setting is preferred
USD $35.00 - USD $40.00 /Hr.
Physical Requirements- Ability to run short distances and move swiftly in response to student needs, including bending, kneeling, and crouching.
- Ability to lift and assist students with mobility challenges, often requiring the handling of up to 50 pounds or more.
- Skill in managing fine motor tasks, such as helping students with writing, manipulating small objects, or using adaptive devices.
- Ability to operate a computer or tablet for up to 8 hours daily.
- Capacity to notice and respond to non-verbal cues from students
- Capacity to remain calm and composed during physically and emotional demanding situations, ensuring student safety and well-being
